RE: Hanjin Shipping

Dear: Valued Customer

You are likely aware of the recent reports that Hanjin Shipping has applied, in Korea, for court protection, due to their current financial circumstances.

As a result, normal cargo handling operations have been disrupted.  This disruption will have an impact on what we DP World can do in relation to Hanjin containers at the DP World Vancouver, Centerm Terminal and the DP World Prince Rupert, Fairview Terminal.

Your cargo and relationship with DP World are of the utmost importance to us. To overcome the current challenges created by Hanjin’s financial situation, we have put procedures in place to help facilitate the movement of your containers through the Port of Vancouver and the Port of Prince Rupert.

Effective immediately, pre-payment will be required for handling of all Hanjin containers. We request that you contact our Customer Service team for additional details and to make the necessary arrangements.
