Upholding our Health & Safety Principles

At DP World, we follow the principle that safety is a condition of employment. All management visibly and consistently uphold the principles and requirements of our Health and Safety Policy and integrate them throughout the company.

Compliance & Performance

The senior management team regularly reviews health, safety, and environmental performance. Management and supervisory staff are responsible and held accountable for allocating resources, implementing, participating, and maintaining the health, safety, and environmental management system necessary to comply with this policy, and are held fully accountable for compliance and performance.

Training & Accountability

Every employee whose work may create a significant health, safety, and environmental impact is trained and held accountable for complying with the principles of the policy and related standards, procedures, practices, instructions and rules.

Knowing your risks is a key factor in keeping safe. We’ve identified high risk activities and established Operational Safety Standards in order to eliminate serious harm in our industry.

We are a partner in the US CBP Program – Secure Freight Initiative (Integrated Container Scanning Pilot Projects).

ISO/PAS 28000

First container terminal in North America to be certified to ISO/PAS 28000 – the highest independent security certification and has been accredited with the Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance (LRQA) since February 2007.

 

C-TPAT

First international port operator invited to become member of US Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT).
